Corporate Strategy

Following great work by our governing board and executive group, a new strategy has been put in place to help steer us towards achieving our future goals.

The primary aim of our new strategy is of course, to continue to offer a superb range of housing options, including low-cost rented and low-cost home ownership to ensure access to better housing for all, regardless of their income or circumstances.

However, our new strategy will also focus on understanding, and adapting to, the many different challenges that impact on our operating environment – particularly those which will result from recent radical changes introduced in the area of welfare and benefits.

We are fully committed to prioritising all of the following goals over the next five years, through the following organisational aims and objectives: 

  • Providing fit-for-purpose local housing and top class asset management services
  • Helping our tenants to enjoy long, lasting and happy tenancies
  • Reducing fuel poverty amongst our tenants
  • Involving our tenants in shaping the services that we provide, in order to ensure they have comfortable homes in positive environments that result in great communities
  • Building at least 175 new homes for both rent and low-cost home ownership over the next 5 years
  • Ensuring we deliver excellent value for money and remain 100% focused on minimising increases in our operating costs
  • Developing sector-leading digital services that not only deliver real benefits to our clients, but that also help drive efficiencies in our business

  • We are focused on understanding the various different needs and aspirations of our clients, because we recognise that everyone is different and therefore has very different requirements.

  • Our employees are the lifeblood of our organisation and we endeavour to support them fully in every way that we can, to help them to deliver fantastic results both for them and for us.
  • We believe in the power of partnerships and we commit to working with others to ensure that together we can help both low income families and individuals alike to access better quality homes
  • We will use whatever resources we have as effectively as we possibly can, to maximise the return (social or financial) to the communities we serve
  • We will work together in a highly professional, supportive, and empathetic way to ensure that we build lasting and trusting relationships with our clients and partners
  • We will seek to minimise the impact of our activities on the environment
