Time To Find Your True Potential

Look to the future and find your destiny with a apprenticeship

Apprenticeships

At Broadland Housing Association, we offer a number of apprenticeships across a range of different industry types including Business Administration, Housing, Customer Service, Plumbing, Electrics and Gas.

In order to help us deliver our apprenticeship goals, and to help people to meet theirs, we work with a variety of different learning providers such as City College Norwich, Great Yarmouth College, Construction Training Specialists and JTL Training People.

In addition, we will also very soon be working with the Centre for Housing Support. This will further help us to achieve our goal of making more apprenticeships available to more people, giving greater access to jobs and learning opportunities.

About Our Apprenticeships:

Learning Delivery Method: Our apprenticeships adopt a variety of different learning styles which include assessor visits, day release, block release. It is important to note however, that the delivery method is in most cases, determined by the course requirements, rather than simply being chosen by the apprentice based on their preferences or their own personal requirements.

Payment: We pay higher than the minimum wage rate for apprentices on appointment, and we also have – subject to performance and review – generous increases in the pay rate at the 6 month and 12 month points. This is designed to reward and recognise good performance and to ensure that learners are sufficiently incentivized to remain on the course right throughout its duration.

Upon completion of an apprenticeship, it is important to note that many apprentices have gone on to secure permanent and fixed term roles within the business so the career opportunities that result from completion are excellent.

Rotating Apprenticeship Role: A few years ago we introduced a rotating apprentice role (studying Business Administration). The purpose of this was that it gave the learner the opportunity to experience working within 3 different departments. This is an excellent way for an individual to experience different areas of the workplace and, in turn, help them to decide a career path for the future.
